ROP Gatefold Challenge

**
Can you believe it - this is our 15th challenge
The months seem to have just flown past.
During this time we have seen some amazing
creations by some very talented ladies.
Actually, I should correct that, men do
participate in card making challenges, and we've
got one follower, Scott, who is a very talented
young man with a huge amount of potential.
**
**
This weeks challenge is by the very talented
Jodi - a Gate Fold card with stitching.
The Gate Fold wasn't a problem but I must
admit I don't sew, not even buttons, so it was
faux stitching for me.
**
**
We've had a HUGE response to our Guest DT call out
for the brand new Belles 'n Whistles stamps, (head over
to the blog to find out about a Sneak Peek) due for
release in July - I hope if you wanted to be in with a
chance at this wonderful opportunity that you've
already participated in one or more of our Roses on
Paper challenges - the lucky card maker who will
take on a 2 month Guest Designer role will be
announced very soon - and let me tell you, it's going
to be a very, very tough decision, there have been
some brilliant entries.

ROP Challenge - For the Boyz!!!!!!

**
Frogs & Snails and Puppy Dog Tails...
That's what little boys are made of!!!!
**
**
It's challenge time again at Roses on Paper
and it's back around to my turn to host it.
**
We can all make pretty cards with ribbons
and bows and flowers all around, but when
it comes to masculine cards I'm so out of my
comfort zone.
**
So my challenge for you is to create a totally
masculine card - no ribbons or bows, no satin
or lace, no pink or purple, no diamonds or pearls.
This card is to be One For The Boyz!!!!!
**
Summer always has wonderful prizes up for
grabs and this week is no acception.
For all the challenge details, a look at all the
Design Team sample cards and your chance
to maybe win a great prize, head over to our
Roses on Paper Challenge Blog for all the details.

ROP Challenge - Folder Card

**
Do you ever wonder what happens to all those
handmade cards you send out each year - are they really
appreciated by the people we send them to???
Today I dropped in unexpectedly to see a friend
hadn't seen in a couple of months.
I was blown away with amazement to see not one,
but six of the cards I had sent to her family
for various occassions over the last few
months sitting on display on a wall-unit.
I couldn't believe it - when I asked her what that was
all about she told me she loved them all so much she
couldn't bear to take them down -
and that to me makes all the hard work worth it!!
**
**
With that said, lets get started on the next challenge at
This weeks challenge, hosted by the wonderful
Anki, is so cool. You'll be making a Folder Card,
just in time to slip a gift voucher inside for
Mother's Day - and so very practible for any
other gift giving occassion throughout the year.
**
As usual, the very generous Summer, is offering
a wonderful prize for the lucky winner - so head
the details on how to participate in this fun
challenge.

was so much fun I thought I'd do it again this week.
Once again, my very talented friend Susan, is guest
designer for the challenge.

As soon as I saw this image, Pretty Head Rachel
from The Greeting Farm, I immediatley thought
of my daughter's Bratz Dolls -
Sassy, Sexy, Styl'n and Sultry, so what better
paper to use than Basic Grey's Sultry Paper Pad.

**
Have you gotten your hands on the new
Greeting Farm stamps at Roses on Paper.
Summer has just received a new shipment,
but be warned, they are selling fast.
**
**
My very talented friend, Susan, has been chosen as a
Guest Designer at Sketch Saturday, so of course I had
to join in this challenge to support my friend.
**
Anya was my stamp of choice for this challenge.
I love the sketch, it was great to work with.
After creating a pink version of Pretty Had Anya
I decided to move away from colours of my usual
comfort zone and try various shades of green and aqua.
It doesn't matter what colour combination you use,
she turns out gorgeous each time.

**
At last the wait is over,
the long awaited
Greeting Farm

but be warned, they are flying out the
door faster than Summer can pack them.

This weeks sketch challenge SC216 at SCS was
just perfect to showcase some of these
gorgeous new images.
Pretty Hat Anya is just adorable, all
dressed up for that special outing.
Included in this set is 7 different accessory
stamps and 3 word stamps
for jazzing up your creation.

Don't forget the Roses On Paper challenge -
Love and Friendship, hosted by Lim.
Summer is generously donating
a wonderful stamp set from the Greeting Farm
to the lucky winner of this fortnights
challenge.

The beautiful assortment of papers
I've used are from Basic Grey's
Bittersweet range.
When you're ordering your Greeting Farm
stamps from Summer be sure to order a
couple of the Basic Grey Paper Pads too.
The 36 sheets of various 6x6 papers are
great value and an excellent way to use all the
papers in the range without cutting up your
12x12 sheets.

Greetings from My Japanese Geisha Girl

**
Geisha Anya is another image in the digital
range from The Greeting Farm.
The digital images are a bit of fun, however I
don't believe you can ever replace the satisfaction
you get from inking up and stamping a rubber stamp.
Keep a look out at
www.rosesonpaper.com for
the new range of The Greeting Farm rubber
stamps, arriving very soon.
**
**
My two wonderful DT friends, Lim and Susan,
have given me inspiration to make these wonderful
hat pins. Both of them have given me great
information, advice and ideas on how to create these
decorative pieces to add to my cards.
**
**
I had been feeling very envious of their shopping
sprees to Michaels to buy their beads, when I came
across a brilliant store right on my own doorstep.
Funky Lulas, right in the heart of Mornington, is owned and
operated by a wonderful lady, Kim from Oregon, USA.
I've made a couple of purchases there already
this week, and I know it won't be long before I'm
back for some more of those gorgeous beads.

Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend, But I'm Happy With Pearls

**
Pretty Head Lily, from The Greeting Farm
is such a lot of fun to work with.
Think pink, girly, glittery, glamour
and your halfway there.
Add some flowers and a bit of
bling and you have a card that
any girl would be happy to receive.
**
After struggling over the weekend with my
creative ability to come up with a very
masculine birthday card I needed to make
something very pretty.
