After a Loooooong Break .....

**
Very slowly, after a loooooong break away from my
craft desk, I'm making my way through the big list
of cards that I need to make over the next few weeks.
**
First up was a wedding card and matching envelope made
for my cousins friend.
**
**
I love the elegance of the black, gold
and white, and the inside poem is a
favourite of mine for wedding cards.
**
**
A sheer black ribbon and hand-made
hat pin completed my card.
**
**
Ingredients
Alota Church Stamp
Metallic Cardstock
Glitter
Border Punch
Ribbon
Hand-Made Hat Pin
Computer Typed Poem
**
**
Next up is my daughter Maddie's 14th birthday card.
This 3D Pixie proved a big hit. 14 is that awkward age
of being past a child, but not quite an adult. This Pixie
is quite magical and mystical - something very appealing
for young teenage girls.
**
**
I haven't made a paper tole card for such a
long time, I forgot how much fun they are to
make, very time consuming, but the end result
is so worth the effort.
**
**
Ingredients
Caron Vinson 3D Paper Tole Kit
Metallic Cardstock
Purple Bazzil
3D Pop Dots
Diamanties
**
**
And finally, a First Holy Communion
card for Marks niece.
I didn't put as much effort into this
card as I would have like to, however
time wasn't on my side for this one, so
the end result is not what I originally
planned.

I am so fortunate to be part of this very talented design team.
Some times I think we actually work for a cooking magazine,
not a stamp company.
We have been known to have conversations about food that
will last for a week, so it is with our love of stamping and food
that we present this awesome new collection of stamps,
created by the very talented Elisabeth Bell.
Every member of our Design Team, including Summer has
a wonderful creation to share you, including something to
satisfy our love of food
Make sure you read all the way to the end of the post to
know which blog you need to hop to next.
**
And now - on with the show.
I have the pleasure of presenting to you
Little Witch.
**
**
There's nothing scarey about this stamp and
isn't she just the cutest Halloween Witch you
have ever seen.
For your viewing pleasure and for my families
tasting pleasure, I've created a recipe card for
my Halloween Pumpkin Pie.
**
**
Halloween and Pumpkins go hand in hand and the purple
I've used for my Little Witch I think works wonderfully
with my orange pumpkins.
**
**
**
I've made my parts of Little Witch and my pumpkins
3D, just to give my recipe card a little bit of added
depth.
**
**
My Pumpkin Pie is delicious and a very, very easy recipe
to follow.
If anyone has a go at making it I would love to hear your
feed back on it.
**

Belles 'n Whistles Trivet

Make sure you visit our Belles 'n Whistles blog each day. We will posting projects/creations everyday (Mo-Fr) for your inspiration. You'll also have the chance of winning Belles 'n Whistles stamps, just by leaving a comment! And if that's not enough - here's some more GREAT news - There will be a new release VERY soon. So make sure you drop by the Belles 'n Whistles blog regularly

**
After all your awesome ideas last Friday I shouldn't
be stuck for inspiration for a long time.
There were so many great projects to choose from.
~
A couple of people suggested some sort of charm/keyring
made with Shrinky Dinks - if you take a look in the
Belles 'n Whistles Gallery
this was one of the first things
I did with Belles 'n Whistles Sisters stamp. It's a fun and
surprisingly easy little project to do and by turning your
charm into a keyring the recipient can take their gift
with them everytime they leave the house.
~
Another great suggestion was a candle. I love making
candles, each time I make one I'm continually amazed
peeling off the wax paper to see the image adhered to
the candle.
~
Quite a few people had the idea for note paper/note books.
Make sure you keep an out here because with Christmas
fast approaching a few friends will be receiving just that
(shhhhh - it's a meant to be a secret lol)
~
Anyway, as you know I decided to use Carrie's idea to
make a Trivet.
As soon as I read this I could almost smell the freshly
baked Apple Pie coming out of the oven and being placed
on the trivet on my kitchen bench - mmmmmm, yum.

Belles 'n Whistles Black 'n White Collection

**
Finally I finished my first collection of cards from the
gorgeous Belles 'n Whistles Collection.
I'm sure you will agree that Summer and Elisabeth
have worked well together to put together a stunning
set of stamps.
They are so wonderful to work with - lovely big images
that are just so much fun to colour.
**
**
After completing my Sisters project I was a little unsure
of what to do with the other stamps - then I decided to
run with Black 'n White for all of the cards - I thought that
really highlighted the colours I had chosen for the images.

Belles 'n Whistles - Sisters

**

**
At last, the wait is over and I can now introduce
to you the newest members of the Belles 'n Whistles
family ~ Sisters.
**

**
I couldn't get the ink on this stamp fast enough, and then
the 2 minute wait for ink to dry before I could start to
colour them was almost un-bearable lol!!!!
And now, I can tell you, the long wait was well worth it.
These stamps are an absolute delight to work with.
**
**
Together with artist, Elisabeth Bell, our very own
Summer ~ from Roses on Paper, has worked tirelessly
to produce the most amazing set of stamps.
The packaging is stunning, as much as I wanted to use
them I also wanted to keep them all wrapped up in their
beautiful packages lol!!!!
**
**
Stamping and colouring these gorgeous Sisters wasn't
enough for me, I had to do something else with them,
so out came the Shrinky Dinks ~ a few minutes in the oven,
some beautiful crystal beads and I have the cutest hat pin
ever. How much fun was that!!!!
**
**
And these special little Sisters also needed
a very special poem.
Whenever I come across a poem or verse that I like
I put in a folder for future use, and this was exactly
the right time for this poem.
The words are beautiful.
**
**
I'll be posting some more images from this fantastic new
Belles 'n Whistles collection over the coming weeks, but
if you can't wait til then to see them take a look at my
fellow Design Team member blogs to see what they have
done with their stamps.
You'll find some stunning creations from:
Iris, Rosette, Lim, Anki, Jodi, Susan and our special guest
Designers: Kathrin, Lynda and Lilian.
**
**
And if all that wasn't enough, the artist herself,
has the most amazing blog candy up for grabs.
While you're visiting her blog make sure you
take a look at all her beautiful images, who knows,
one or two of them might be turned into rubber
before too long!!!!!!

Willow Baby Candle

**
I ordered this Willow stamp, by Elisabeth Bell
as soon as it was released, and then I waited
and waited and waited for one of my friends
to have a baby girl and now FINALLY I have
a chance to use it.
I know I could have used it for a baby boy but
as a crafter when I get an image in my head of
how I want something to look, that's how it
has to be.
**
**
I used the layout at Sketch Saturday for
my card. I wanted the focus to be on the
gorgeous stamp and the clean simple lines
of this sketch were perfect.
**
**
When my card was complete I wanted to
colour another Willow, so I decided to make
a co-ordinating baby candle.
**
**
I found this beautiful baby poem for one side
with Willow on the other.
I made matching hat-pins for the card and
the candle and used the same metallic pearls
and ribbon.
I love making candles. It amazes me how such
a simple process can look so stunning.
I just hope the recipient doesn't light it!!!!!

I'd been waiting for the right time to use this gorgeous
Elisabeth Bell Sugar Nellie stamp - Hug in a Mug,
and what better time than now.
After managing to avoid all the flu bugs
that have hounded my DT friends for so long
it finally caught up with me.
The long awaited for cool change finally hit Melbourne,
but along with it came the coughs and colds.
So while I was sitting bundled up on the couch drinking
my honey tea, hugging my beloved flower cup, the
inspiration came to me, now was the time to use
this beautiful stamp.
**
Last month Elisabeth announced that she will be working
exclusively with 4 stores, and as you know Summer
is the owner of one of those lucky stores.
I'll keep you up to date with new stamps at
Roses On Paper, but in the meantime, head over there
for the Sugar Nellie, Magnolia and The Greeting Farm
stamps that Summer has in store

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, He Loves Me!!!!

**
It's Valentines Day, and I'm in Love -
with Daisy!!!
**
**
From the moment I saw her I was transported back
to my childhood home, where I would sit in the
back garden for hours on end, making daisy chains.
And who almongst us hasn't pulled the petals of a
daisy - he loves me, he love me not, he loves me!!!!
Admit it, we've all done it, and not just once, over
and over until we got the answer we were looking for.
**
**
This weeks SCS Weekly Inkling was all about making
this absolutely awesome Acetate Box.
Not being one to follow instructions to carefully I had
to make a few adjustment until it all came together,
but in the end I was thrilled with the final results.
I'm not sure that I want to part with it now
that it's finished.
**
**
**
Now, while I have you here I have to share
the very exciting news that has been
going on around here.
The very, very talented Elizabeth Bell,
creator of Sugar Nellie Stamps,
which includes this adorable "Daisy",
has this week announced she will be working
exclusively with 4 companies.
**
So who are they you ask.
Well 2 of the companies are in Europe and
2 of them are in USA.
The first is
Susana's Custom Art and Card Design
and the second one is
none other than our very own
**
Along with our wonderful leader, Summer, the
whole Design Team has been beside ourselves
with anticipation of this annoucement.
Elizabeth will be providing each company with
their own exclusive “Elisabeth Bell” images so
that no two companies will carry a duplicate design.
I am so excited and honoured to be part of the
and look forward to the opportunity of working
with the wonderful new images from Elizabeth.
