**
It's time to start sharing some of my

After a Loooooong Break .....

**
Very slowly, after a loooooong break away from my
craft desk, I'm making my way through the big list
of cards that I need to make over the next few weeks.
**
First up was a wedding card and matching envelope made
for my cousins friend.
**
**
I love the elegance of the black, gold
and white, and the inside poem is a
favourite of mine for wedding cards.
**
**
A sheer black ribbon and hand-made
hat pin completed my card.
**
**
Ingredients
Alota Church Stamp
Metallic Cardstock
Glitter
Border Punch
Ribbon
Hand-Made Hat Pin
Computer Typed Poem
**
**
Next up is my daughter Maddie's 14th birthday card.
This 3D Pixie proved a big hit. 14 is that awkward age
of being past a child, but not quite an adult. This Pixie
is quite magical and mystical - something very appealing
for young teenage girls.
**
**
I haven't made a paper tole card for such a
long time, I forgot how much fun they are to
make, very time consuming, but the end result
is so worth the effort.
**
**
Ingredients
Caron Vinson 3D Paper Tole Kit
Metallic Cardstock
Purple Bazzil
3D Pop Dots
Diamanties
**
**
And finally, a First Holy Communion
card for Marks niece.
I didn't put as much effort into this
card as I would have like to, however
time wasn't on my side for this one, so
the end result is not what I originally
planned.

Ingredients
Elisabeth Bell Willow Stamp
Cardstock
Cuttlebug
Nesties
Diamanties
Copic Markers

An Uninterrupted Day at My Craft Desk!!!

**
Well that doesn't happen too often .......
a whole day at my craft desk, and yes my
family was home - but I have a new defence
weapon - after many years of constantly
being interrupted by kids for one thing or
another I've just discovered that if I sing
along to Michael Bublé in my craft room
no-one will come near me!!!!!
**
**
I love making these Tri-Fold cards, they are
so much fun. This one is for my brothers
birthday. We all know how much I LOVE
making masculine cards - not, but I was
quite happy with this one.
**
**
Ingredients:
Alota Rubber Stamps Cupcake
Basic Grey Black Tie Paper
Cardstock
Copic Markers
Diamanties
Ribbon
Heart
Crystal Effects
**

**
Another male card - two in a row, oh no - thankfully
I was saved with this gorgeous little Soccer Izac
from Anki's Sweethearts, designed by my very
talented friend Anki.
How perfect for my soccer playing nephews
8th birthday.
**

**
I made a little pocket on the inside of this one to
slip a bit of money in the card.
**

**
Ingredients:
Anki's Sweethearts - Soccer Izac
SU Soccer Balls
Cardstock
Copic Markers
Circle Punch
White Marker Pen
Film Strip Punch
**

**
Can you believe it - ANOTHER male
card - that's three in a row - I'm lucky
if I achieve one a month, but three in
one day, well that's just unheard of!!!
**

**
This time it was a New Home card for
my nephew who has just purchaed his
first home. I'm so proud of him, at 24
it's a great achievement.
Nothing girly about this one, lots of
brown and blue (well apart from the key -
but it does go with the whole house theme)
**
**
Ingredients:
Boards and Beams House Stamp
Cardstock
Tim Holzt Distress Ink
Twine
Decorative Key
Dew Drops
**
**
I think after that my next few cards will all be
pretty pink with lots of ribbon and lace!!!!

ROP Challenge ~ Autumn Photo Shoot

**
**
It's time to get out your Greeting Farm, Alota and
Magnolia stamps and head on over to Roses on Paper
for another great challenge.
Summer has a great range of these stamps available, with
some new Greeting Farm stamps just in stock.
Anki (designer of Anki's Sweethearts) is our talented
host this week with a challenge that was just too easy
for me - Autumn colours, well for all my international friends -
Fall colours - Orange, Brown and Warm Red.
Come and join in the fun, you could pick up one of the great
prizes that Summer has for each of our challenges.
**

**
For those of you that know me you'll know that Pink
Champagne is my favourite drink, the Beach is my favourite
place to be and Autumn is my most favourite time of the year.
If Christmas was in Autumn the years would be perfect.
I love the warm days, the cooler nights and the beautiful
changing colours of the leaves that are just superb for taking
photo's, which is generally what I'm doing on those magical
days.
**

**
Since our combination challenge a couple of months
ago I've really taken a liking to combining my projects.
My design layout for my card this week came from the
great sketch at Friday Sketches.
The have some very talented crafts people over there
providing some great sketches and this is just another
example of the fun layouts.
**

**
I was waiting for the right card for this awesome
camera stamp and when I saw this weeks sketch I knew
it was time to ink my stamp. Tilda just looks so cute
posing for the camera in amongst the Autumn leaves.
**

**
Everytime I use this paper I have to smile - it is my all
time favourite paper, and with very good reason - a few
years ago I was working on a scrapbook page for some
Autumn photo's I had taken of my girls - I knew how I
wanted my page to look and what paper I wanted, but
do you think I could find it anywhere.
I went to every craft store I could get to, phoned them,
and googled them and then eventually after months of
searching and having given up hope I was on Ebay for
something else and found a lady in America selling the
paper that I had designed in my head!!!!! - only problem
she wasn't shipping to Australia - that was until I begged
and pleaded and offered to buy all ten packets that she
was selling!!!!
She gave in and 5 years later - I'm still stocked up on this
paper and Tina is one of my great friends - and I always
tell her she was my best purchase ever on Ebay!!!!!
And so that is why I smile whenever using this paper.

ROP Challenge - Decorated Candle

**
I've wanted to decorate a candle for so
long, but have always been apprehensive, thinking
it would be too difficult - boy was I wrong.
**
**
At Roses On Paper this week there is actually two
challenges to choose from.
Hosted by my very talented friend, Iris
you are being given the choice of decorating
a candle or using the inspirational picture to make a card.
A Hint - do the candle - it is SOOOOOO much fun.
With the help of a great tutorial from Iris I picked this
technique up in no time.
I was meant to decorate one candle for the DT team,
but I ended up making 5!!!!!
For your chance to join in the fun, learn a new technique
and maybe pick up an awesome prize donated by Summer,
head over to our Challenge Blog.
**
**
Once I got started I was instantly hooked.
I'm now thinking ahead for all the beautiful presents
I can make with a matching card,
who wouldn't be happy to receive that.
**
**
For the Tilda candle I used my H20's
to decorate the stamped image.
I was concerned that they might lose some of
their shimmer once the was paper went over the top -
but surprisingly the images are still shimmery.
**

**
Prima Belle Fleur flowers, which are available
in various colours from Summer were used to
decorate the candle, with matching ribbon and
brads to finish off.
**

**
My church candle, using and image from Alota Rubber Stamps ,
which is available from Summer turned out to be my
favourite candle.
I stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black and
highlighted it with gold glitter.
**
**
I was able to incorporate my new love at the moment,
a handmade decorated hatpin, as additional decoration
along with matching black satin and gold ribbon.
**
**
Ingredients:
Magnolia Stamps
Alota Rubber Stamps
White Pillar Candles
Tissue Paper
Wax Paper
H20's
Prima Belle Fleur Flowers
Ribbon
Brads
Glitter
Martha Stewart Punch
Hand Made Hat Pin

**

**
It's challenge time again at Roses on Paper.
Can you believe we're up to Challenge # 6
already.
As a design team we've been having such
fun putting these challenges together and
this one is no acception.

The very talented Lim, has provided
us with this weeks themed challenge -
Love and Friendship.
So what are you waiting for, for full
details on this great challenge, including
the possibility of picking up a great
prize from Summer head on
**
**
I had a lot of fun creating this card.
Of all the Magnolia stamps I own this is my
first Magnolia stamp that includes Edwin
and I thought together they were just perfect
for the Love and Friendship theme.
**
I've coloured the images with Copic Markers
and the used H20's with added glitter for the
ice in the lake and kindy glitz (slick white) mixed
glitter for the snow cappings.
Unfortuntately the photo's don't quite capture
the shimmery effects.

Roses On Paper Valentines Challenge - Sending You My Love

**
It's time to get your stamps inked up and
join us for another challenge at Roses on Paper.
Monday the 2nd of February sees the start of a new week,
and my turn to host challenge number 5.
I hope you like what I have in store for you.
For this challenge you will be creating a card using
the 'Masking' technique.
**
**
For those of you who have never done masking,
don't panic, it's not scarey, it's actually quite fun
and the results are great.
I have created a tutorial here on my blog
(look at right hand side under stamps & tools used - masking)
and if that's confusing here's a link to another tutorial http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/masking_basic/
**
**
Just remember, the image you want to appear in front
needs to be stamped first, the image that is way in the
back is the last image.
To clarify - on my card I've stamped Tilda first,
then the bunch of roses, then the individual roses
and finally the french script.
**

**
Now for the challenge - create a
Valentines Day Card using the Masking Technique.
Your card should include one of the following stamps:
Magnolia, Alota, Whiff of Joy, Sarah Kay,
Rachelle Anne Miller or The Greeting Farm!
All of these stamps are available
from Summer at www.rosesonpaper.com.
In honour of Summers' love of roses your card must
include at least one ROSE
(think outside the square - doesn't have to be a stamp)
I've stamped and coloured my images with
Tim Holtz Distress Inks,
but you can use any colouring medium.
Layout is your choice.
To enter the challenge and for your chance
to maybe win a great prize head over to
