ROP Challenge - Christmas Gift, Part 2

**
As soon as I saw the kids making "Picture Products"
at kinder I was inspired to make a plate for myself.
This then turned into a cup and when I picked up my
order last week I had four plates and four cups!!!
Now I have some personalised dinner sets for a couple
of special little friends for Christmas.
**
**
Picture Products is an Australian company, however I'm
sure that the general idea is available world-wide.
Each year kindergartens across the country get the kids
to draw or paint their own pictures, which are then
re-produced into plates, mugs, wall clocks or mouse pads
which are given to grandparents, parents or kept for
themselves as lasting treasures.
We have in the plate cupboard the plate that Maddie
made 10 years ago and it's still in perfect condition.
And so, being the big kid that I am, I went about
creating my own design to be made into a plate and
matching cup.

**
There's something so exciting about receiving a gift that
has been made with the recipient in mind and so I want
to see what awesome handmade gifts all of our
Roses on Paper followers can produce to be used as gifts
this Christmas.
Perhaps you could decorate a cookie tin or revamp a
store bought diary, the ideas are endless, just remember
you must use the correct stamps to be eligible for an
awesome prize from Summer, ie Magnolia, Belles 'n Whistles,
Bildmarna or Greeting Farm.

ROP Challenge - Christmas Gift, Part 1

**
Yay - it's the First day of December, which means
the first day of Summer here and Australia and it
also means the 'official' countdown to Christmas
can begin. My Christmas tree will go up today and
the Christmas lights decorating the outside of our
house will be turned on tonight.
It also means the mad rush of organising
presents for all the family and friends.
**
**
But it doesn't have to be a night-mare, in fact you
can make it quite fun. Everyone loves to receive
presents and a hand-made gift is just so much more
personal and special. Why not join us at
Roses On Paper and be inspired by some of the
hand-made Christmas gifts created by our awesome
design team.

wanting to see what our Roses On Paper followers
can create to put under the tree this Christmas.

ROP Challenge - Afternoon Bike Ride

**
WOW - can you believe this is Roses on Paper 25th
Challenge. We've been nearly going for 12 months and
what and incredible 12 months it's been.
Lots of new friendships formed and a huge amount of
awesome creations.
This challenge is hosted by the very talented Anki, who
is freezing her little toes of in Sweden whilst I'm
sweltering here in Australia.
Anki is asking for a Romantic card, based around one
of her favourite movies - Sweet November.
**
**
And how sweet do Tilda and Edwin look going for a
Romantic afternoon bike ride ~ very sweet.
I'm loving the new Design Papers from Magnolia, the
computer doesn't do them justice. The blue is just so
fresh and summery - perfect for our Australian summer.

My sweet Magnolia stamps are, as always, from
Summer at Roses on Paper. Summer is once again
putting up a great prize for this fortnights challenge, so
ink up your stamps, make sure they are ones that are
specified on Roses on Paper Challenge Blog, and join us
for another fun challenge.
And speaking of fun challenges, for this card I've used
the sketch from the talented ladies at Magnolia Downunder,
however I've turned it on it's side.

Wax and Feathers

**
I've been putting this project off for as long
as possible, it seemed quite daunting, however
I was thrilled with the end result and I hope my
cousin will be too.
This candle and card was a special order from
my cousin for her best friends 40th birthday.
**
**
I told her too look at my blog and pick out
a style of card that she liked and just my
luck she picked my Dancing with the Stars
feather card. What was I thinking when I
agreed to make it as a candle!!!
I just hope she never lights it - those feathers
will go up in a flash!!!!
**
**
I'm loving the Japanese paper I used with the metallic
cardstock - it all comes together to look very exotic and
glamourous. A beautiful friendship poem on the reverse
side finishes the candle.

Teddy Bear Wishes

Even though I haven't updatedmy blog for a couple of
weeks now I have actually been making cards.
Each December, after I've put postage stamps on the last
of the cards to be sent out I vow that I'll make a Christmas
a week so that I'm not overwhelmed by the huge amount
of Christmas cards that I have to make, and each November
without fail I find myself up to my ears in Christmas design
paper madly trying to get through my list.
And in amongst it all family and friends are still celebrating
birthdays which require a handmade card.
**
**
This card was made for my nephews 24th Birthday last
week.
Those of you that know me know that I struggle with
masculine cards, however I think my struggle is over,
having found this gorgeous Teddy in a Vest and Bear Squares
