Roses on Paper DT Challenge Card - Picnic Time with Dolly & Me

**
It's challenge time again at Roses on Paper.
This weeks challenge has been put together
by the very talented, Iris.
For full challenge details and the chance to
pick up a great prize head over to
**
**
This cute little girl is from the
Sarah Kay collection.
I thought she looked just like
my little girl playing make believe with
her dollies.
has this and others from the range
in her store.
**
**
It was quite time consuming cutting
out this image, but I think it was worth
the effort. I gave the card a bit of
depth by paper piecing the pocket,
ribbons and bows with some silicone.
**
Once again, my beloved H20's were
favoured colouring medium, highlighting
some areas with atyou Spica markers.
**
**
Ingredients:
Stamp: Picnic Time - Sarah Kay
Paper: Basic Grey Paper Pad - Urban Prairie
(available from: www.rosesonpaper.com)

Christmas Miss

**
If these images didn't take so long to colour I would
create more of them, but then on the other hand
I guess that's what makes them so special.
**
**
**
From the Christine Haworth Paintbox Poppet range
I chose to spend 2 very relaxing hours colouring
Christmas Miss with my beloved H20's.
**

**
In a very rare instance that found me alone with
guilt free time to myself I headed straight for my
craft desk and got myself busy with this adorable little girl.
**

**
I was really pleased with the end results,
however the photo doesn't show the true colours of the
finished card or the glitter highlights.
**
Ingredients:
Stamp: Christmas Miss - Faerie Poppet, Christine Haworth
Paper: Basic Gray - Wassil Pad, Red Metallic & White Cardstock
Accessories: H20's, Ribbon, Glitter, Gold Brads, white highlighter pen

Sketch Challenge - Wassaling Magnolia

**

This weeks sketch challenge at Splitcoast was so much fun to work with.
Basic Grey's Wassil papers with their circle designs bought the sketch together nicely.
They are such warm winter colours, perfect for Tilda to be rugged up in.
I've had a tub of flower soft sitting on my desk, waiting for the right stamp to use it with.
I can almost feel the warmth from Tilda's 'fur' coat. This product is so easy to work with. Simply apply PVA glue to the area and sprinkle flower soft, lightly pressing into the glue. Shake off the excess and return to container to be re-used. Summer has a wide range of colours to choose from.

**
Ingredients:
Stamp: Magnolia - available from Summer at www.rosesonpaper.com
Paper: Basic Grey - Wassil Pad, Cream metallic cardstock
Flower Soft: Heather - available from Summer at www.rosesonpaper.com
Dew Drops: Silver Bells - available from Summer at www.rosesonpaper.com
Misc: Copic Markers, Punches, Crystal Effects, atyou Spica Markers, Gold & White Markers

Magnolia's Golden Baubles

**
**
While the Tilda Magnolia images are all so unbelievably cute,
this is to show you that a Magnolia card can also be very elegant.
From the Christmas Collection I have used the large Bauble.
It has been stamped onto cream metallic cardstock,
embossed with gold embossing powder,
cut out and paper pieced onto assembled card.
Pearl brads and gold ribbon complete the card
for a very tradional looking Christmas Card.

Ingredients:
Magnolia Bauble Stamp - available from Summer at www.rosesonpaper.com
Judikins Egyptian Gold Embossing Powder
Cream and Gold Cardstock
Gold Ribbon
Pearl Brads
Cuttlebug

Roses on Paper DT Card - Whiff of Joy

**
Well here it is, my first official card for the
Roses on Paper Design Team.
**
**
I've chosen very non-traditional Christmas colours for my card,
but I think with the touch of red it all comes together quite nicely.
Lizzie has been coloured with H20's and highlighted with gold pen.
**
**
Ingredients:
Stamp: Whiff of Joy - Lizzie
Paper: Basic Grey - Urban Prairie Collection, Blue & Gold Cardstock
Flowers: Prima Flowers - Belle Fleur, Gold Embossed Blues
Dew Drops: Primary Colours
Misc: Gold Ribbon, Nesties, H20's, Gold Pen

All ingredients used can be purchased from Summer at http://www.rosesonpaper.com/

Decorating for Christmas

**

**

**

Mark nearly passed out when I showed him the
Christmas garland I got to decorate the outside
of our house with, but 4 hours later when it was all
up we were really pleased with the final look.

**
**

**
I absolutely love decorating for Christmas.
I've been collecting Franklin Mint Disney
ornaments for about 15 years now,
so I've built up quite a collection.
I need to take some close up photo's of
all of them.

**
Each Christmas it's really exciting un-wrapping
them all and remembering what
we have (and hoping there are no breakages).

School Days

I wish I was back at school so I could use this diary for myself. Tilda is such a cool looking school girl, already for a big year of study.
I bought these stamps from Summer at www.rosesonpaper.com with another special project in mind (you'll have to wait till after Christmas for that), but I couldn't wait any longer to use them. A diary for my friend who has returned to school as a mature age student seemed a fitting time to use them.
I've coloured Tilda with Copic Markers and atyou Spica Markers, metallic gold pen was used for her glasses, shirt buttons and some of the binding on books.
The pencils and ruler were stamped onto shrinky dinks plastic, cut out, hole punched then heat shrunk. Co-ordinating ribbon has been attached to the spiral and acetate adhered for protection.

Roses on Paper

We all love to receive a compliment, it's human nature, it makes us feel good and gives our confidence a huge boost.
I received the most wonderful compliment last week in the form of an invitation from my friend Summer.
Along with five other very talented ladies, Summer asked me to join her Design Team for her store www.rosesonpaper.com.
I'm really looking forward to getting to know my fellow team members and I eagerly welcome the challenge.
Thanks Summer, one more reason for me to stay at my craft desk.
